Katherine graduated from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN, with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Writing. She spent a semester in New York City where she had the opportunity to work as an intern at Harper’s Bazaar. She was impressed by how the magazine understood the marketplace such that people were compelled to buy their product. It exposed Katherine to not only the fashion industry, but also the business side of a creative publication.
Following graduation, Katherine worked as a Constituent Representative for South Dakota’s lone Congresswoman, Kristi Noem. While working at Congresswoman Noem’s office Katherine grasped what the Congresswoman believed in-human trafficking needed to be addressed and future leaders needed to be identified and trained.
Katherine is passionate in meeting the needs of others and forming genuine connections and relationships. Katherine is also an avid yogi and equestrian and these interests have allowed her to engage with interesting people who do compelling things. Katherine loves getting to know different groups of people and working to create and communicate messages that resonate with them.
