Justin Mootz is the Managing Director of Non-Profit Accounts for MJM.
He earned his B.A. in Political Science, Spanish and History at Augustana College. After graduating, he spent five years experiencing life in Japan and Nicaragua, and gained a deeper appreciation for the variety of tools that humans use to communicate feelings, ideas and experiences. Upon returning to the United States, Justin represented his beloved alma mater by recruiting students to the same dynamic liberal arts experience that changed his life. In fact, he was so good at his job that he convinced himself to go back to school.
Four years later, he graduated from Luther Seminary with his Master’s in Divinity, which is really just a fancy title for a person who is now well-versed in all the things he doesn’t fully understand about God. While this may be true, both his education and experiences have thoroughly convinced him that a large part of faith has to do with God’s heart for the most vulnerable people in our world. With that in mind, Justin and his wife Amanda are experiencing the mutual joys and challenges of a holistic faith by intentionally living and serving in a low-income neighborhood near Seattle, WA.
